BIBS: Blown in blanket systems
The BIBS System is an excellent alternative to traditional batt or spray foam insulation. This high performing, cost-effective system is a great fit for all of your insulation needs. BIBS fills in tightly around all wiring, electrical boxes and piping; leaving no costly gaps or
voids that could allow cold air to enter your home and warm air to escape. Blown-in fibreglass is better at sealing against air infiltration and is guaranteed to fill the entire cavity because it is installed at a density 3 times that of a standard batt. The BIBs can be used in walls as well as attics. This product will never settle for the life of your home. A standard 2x6 wall will have an R-value of 24 (R24) with this system.
What is an R-value? R-value is a measure of thermal resistance, the higher the R-value the more thermally resistant the material. The R-value for insulation can tell you how well it will keep heat from entering or leaving your home. The higher R-value means better climate control and better energy efficiency for your home.
